During this time, people are starting to wind down their summer. My husband and I just sent our children off for another year of school, one started the 4th grade and the other started 2nd grade. There were a mixture of emotions and experiences on that first day.
On one hand, I am giving them tons of encouragement about STARTING the new year, and how this year will be the best one yet. As a family, we declared our affirmations of good grades, new friends, and great experiences.
On the other hand, I left  our children's school to encourage another set of adults about how to FINISH strong. They were not starting their year, but finishing or already had a quarter under their belt. I realized in that moment that whether you are in the "starting season" or "finishing season", you are always creating something great! Your success depends on your perspective. You can shift at any moment and your outcome can change. Both realities of starting and finishing were true. They were both true on the same day and at the same moment. It's exciting to think about really.... That means that on any given day that we can choose our reality.
So I ask you today, what reality will you choose?
