It's the month of May! During this month I would like to "Smell The Rose", and honor our mothers, military, teachers, Cinco de Mayo, police, and much more! I am filled with gratitude in my heart. Thank you to all of the individuals, their spouses, and families that sacrifice and support our country. Happy Mother's Day to all of you!
I had the honor to sow into our children's life when my husband and I took our daughter's to a helicopter Easter Egg hunt. It was cold and rainy outside. But it did not stop the massive crowd from showing up to the egg hunt. When the kids were released to run after the eggs, I began to run after them.. and then walked.. and then ran again... then I walked again. Laughing out loud at myself, I quickly recognized that I was not the mom that I once was in my 20's.
I admit I was exhausted, cold, and tired. However, it was one of our best days together as a family and I would not trade that moment for anything! My daughters said to me that they had such a wonderful day with me. That was my time to "Be The Rose". Our professional lives require work-home balance and that is leadership..
