Lorinda Buckingham is the Founder and CEO of Modern Empowerment Inc., a Personal and Professional Development company, and Creator of Restored Survivor Leadership where she serves as a Certified Professional Coach, Trainer, and Speaker who delivers transformation in the area of Leadership and Health Wellness.

Lorinda loves to work with love-inspired girls & women with busy lifestyles who are emotionally and mentally beaten from years of carrying tremendous pain, deep-seated beliefs of unworthiness, raging conflicts from bruised relationships, and even discomfort from parental loss or disconnect. Many are suffering in silence hopelessly alienated from love, unheard, stagnant, and unarmed with a plan to get back on track.

Lorinda is a native of Detroit, Michigan. She was raised in a working-class family with her father who is a native of Detroit, and her mother who was a native from Trinidad and Tobago. Lorinda's family has a "village" mentality. She was raised around her cousins, aunts, and uncles. She attended Mount Gillard Baptist Church with her family. Most of her close friends growing up were considered family and vice versa. Family, relationships, and connections are so important to have and are not the easiest to maintain. Lorinda's life was and is far from perfect, and perfection was never her platform. Lorinda experienced a sexual trauma in college that rocked her to her core and left her confused and feeling hopeless. Restored Survivor Leadership is more than a company. It is a FAMILY. It is the desire that the clients of Restored Survivor Leadership not only find restoration and healing but also find connections and healing with relationships where needed.

Our ability to be your guide, coach, and trainer isn't based solely on educational degrees or certifications. Many of the results and outcomes have come from life lessons, hard knocks, and hearts-to-hearts. We do have credentials and certifications to stand out and add to your confidence and your customer experience with Restored Survivor Leadership.

Lorinda brings nearly 15 years of real-world corporate experience and guides teams and leaders for multibillion-dollar companies. Lorinda knows what truly drives teams and motivates leaders. Lorinda received her certification from the #1 Leadership Certification organization, The John Maxwell Team. She earned a Youth Ministry diploma from Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Lorinda earned a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a Historically black university HBCU Tuskegee University and a Master's In Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
